Sunlight the Great Healer
Before I changed my eating habits from the standard American diet (S.A.D.) to the health promoting lifestyle that I practice today, I could not spend much time in the sun without sunscreen or I would become sunburned. Ever since my positive lifestyle change, I have been able spend as much time as I wish in full sun at sea level and never burn! After researching the matter, I found that an increased dietary intake of vitamins and other nutrients, and an avoidance of free-radical forming foods, has been scientifically shown to have that effect on humans!
We make the hormone Vitamin D when sunlight shines on our skin. Many people are deficient in Vitamin D.The link below I find interesting and entertaining on the subject of Vitamin D and Sunshine.
